# Using TAO.BOT

> A practical tour of TAO.BOT — navigation, Trade (ETH vs Native TAO), Explore, Subnet Pages, Portfolio, Bridge, and Charts.

This page walks through the live product surface — how to navigate, read key metrics, and execute trades and LP actions confidently.

## Global layout & behavior

* **Top nav:** **Trade**, **Explore**, **Portfolio**
* **Mode detection:** Connect your wallet — TAO.BOT adapts the UI to your context (ETH deposits & Gateway tools for ETH users; on-chain actions for Native TAO users).
* **Search:** Find any subnet by name or symbol from **Explore**.
* **Account area:** Wallet/Gateway menu, balances, and session controls.

## Trade

TAO.BOT exposes different Trade tools depending on your context.

### For ETH users — ETH Entry Gateway

* **Bridge** — Deposit/withdraw **ETH, USDC, USDT** to/from your Gateway balance.
* **Swap** — Convert Gateway assets ↔ TAO or subnet tokens.
* **Limit (disabled)** — Present in the UI but not currently available.
* **TWAP (ETH-only)** — Time-weighted execution to reduce price impact on thinner pools.

### For Native TAO users — On-chain

* **Swap** — Trade TAO ↔ subnet tokens directly on the Bittensor network.
* **Liquidity (Uniswap v3-style)** — Provide concentrated liquidity on supported subnet pools (Native TAO only).

**Best practices**

* If **price impact** looks high, split into smaller clips or route via **TAO**.
* Double-check **slippage** and **TTL** before confirming.

## Explore (Screener)

**Explore** is the subnet screener — a sortable, filterable table for discovery and comparison.

**Default columns**

* **Price (USD/TAO)**
* **Emission %**
* **Age**
* **% Change** (1H / 24H / 1W)
* **MCAP**
* **Volume (24H)**
* **Mini chart** (recent price action)

**Network-wide context**

* **Trending subnets** (by network volume and by TAO.BOT activity)
* **Network market cap**
* **Total subnets**
* **Aggregate subnet token value**
* **Cumulative dTAO volume** (since the Dynamic TAO update)
* **Total trading volume**
* **Staked TAO** chart

## Subnet Pages

Each subnet token has a dedicated page with **KPIs, charts, pools, and validator context**, plus an in-page **Swap** box for quick execution.

**What you’ll see**

* **Overview cards:** Price, 24h/7d change, volume, MCAP/FDV, circulating/max supply, emissions
* **Charts:**
  * **Basic** price view with common timeframes
  * **Advanced** charts (TradingView integration) for technical analysis
* **Description / Transactions / Holders (soon):** Project write-up, on-chain tx feed, upcoming holder chart
* **GitHub (when connected):** Latest commits surfaced on-page
* **Pools & liquidity:** Active TAO pairs, fee tiers, and (in Native TAO) your positions
* **Actions:** **Swap** and **Add Liquidity** CTAs at the top

## Liquidity (Native TAO only)

Provide liquidity to earn a share of swap **fees** in supported subnet pools.

* **Pool types:** Subnets historically launched with Uniswap v2-style pools; many now support **Uniswap v3-style** concentrated liquidity.
* **Add / remove:** Choose a pool (e.g., `TAO / <subnet token>`), pick a price range, review expected share and fee capture, then confirm.
* **Risks:** Impermanent loss (IL), volatility, and depth sensitivity.

> Liquidity provisioning is only available in **Native TAO** mode.

## Portfolio

A unified view of your balances and activity:

* **Balances:** TAO, subnet tokens, and (if any) LP positions
* **History:** Swaps, Gateway deposits/withdrawals, liquidity actions
* **PnL:** Calculated using **average cost** methodology

## Bridge (ETH Entry Gateway)

A simple on-ramp for ETH-native users:

* **Deposit:** Send **ETH/USDC/USDT** from your Ethereum wallet; your **Gateway balance** updates after confirmation.
* **Withdraw:** Send funds back to your Ethereum address.

Keep your **tx hash** for support if a credit/debit seems delayed.

## Charts

Analyze subnet markets with:

* **Basic** price chart on every Subnet Page
* **Advanced** charts (TradingView integration) for deeper TA, available from the same page

Use charts to gauge trend; for **slippage risk**, also check **liquidity depth** and watch **price impact** on the Trade screen.

## Fees & Costs

* **TAO.BOT trading fee:** **0**
* **Network fees:** On-chain actions on Bittensor incur protocol/network fees; Ethereum **gas** applies on Gateway deposits/withdrawals.

## Troubleshooting

* **Wallet won’t connect (Native TAO):** Unlock wallet → refresh → retry.
* **Deposit pending (Gateway):** Check your Ethereum tx; if confirmed but not credited, refresh once and then contact **[support@tao.bot](mailto:support@tao.bot)** with the hash.
* **High price impact / “insufficient liquidity”:** Reduce size, route via TAO, or try during higher-liquidity hours.
* **Quote moved / tx reverted:** Increase slippage slightly or re-quote.
