Heads up: ETH deposits/“bridge” are paused during decommission. Swaps and withdrawals remain available for funds already inside the platform.
We’re decommissioning the ETH → TAO side of TAO.BOT in preparation for our Liquid Staked TAO (LST) launch. Prereq: If you’re new to Bittensor, see Quickstart for wallet setup and Using TAO.BOT for Native TAO mode

What’s changing

  • Deposits/Bridge: Paused (effective 11/3)
  • Swaps: Available for existing balances inside TAO.BOT
  • Three exit paths:
    1. Withdraw normally (back to your connected wallet)
    2. Withdraw to Bittensor (new asynchronous form, direct link only)
    3. Do nothing → we convert to TAO and airdrop LST at launch
  • After LST is live, the ETH-side “platform balances” UI is removed. Users choosing (3) will simply see their LST.
Native TAO trading and on-chain usage are not affected by this change.

Choose your path

Option 1 — Withdraw normally (back to your wallet)

What it does Sends your asset(s) back to your connected wallet on the origin chain. Great for Users who want custody on ETH (or the original network) now and may self-bridge/self-stake later. How to Use the standard Withdraw flow from Portfolio/Sidebar.

Option 2 — Withdraw to Bittensor (new, asynchronous form)

What it does Sends TAO (and ALPHA, if present) directly to your Bittensor address. Great for Users who want to hold/use funds natively on Bittensor right away. How it works (batched)
  1. Open the direct form (banner link or this page): here
  2. Submit token, amount, and Bittensor address (one submission per token).
  3. Your platform balance is immediately deducted and your request is queued.
  4. We execute batches on a set cadence; funds arrive in your Bittensor wallet once your batch clears.
Batching & cadence
  • Cadence: DAILY
  • Cut-off: Requests before the posted cut-off join the next batch; others roll forward
  • Status: The form shows the next batch time and your queue status after submission
  • Retries: Failed transfers (network reasons) are re-queued automatically
Fees & limits
  • A posted operational fee per batch may apply
  • Gas for the final on-chain leg
  • Any minimums/maximums will be listed on the form
Checklist before you submit
  • Valid Bittensor address
  • Double-check token + amount
  • Understand submissions are final once queued

Option 3 — Do nothing → Auto-convert to TAO and receive LST airdrop

What it does We convert your remaining balance to TAO and airdrop Liquid Staked TAO (LST) at launch. Great for Users who prefer a hands-off path straight into LST. What to expect
  • ETH-side balances UI disappears at launch; you’ll see LST in your wallet
  • You’ll manage LST like any other supported asset in the app
Notes
  • We’ll publish the conversion reference rate, execution method, and any fees/spread ahead of time
  • If you want native TAO now, use Option 2

FAQ

Can I still swap during decommission? Yes. Swaps remain available for balances already in the platform. Deposits are paused. Why did my balance drop right after submitting the Bittensor form? Your request is locked for batching. Funds leave the platform when your batch executes on-chain. What tokens can I withdraw to Bittensor? TAO, and any ALPHA/subnet token that supports native swapping. Swap other assets into a supported token before using the form. How do I find my Bittensor address? Use your preferred Bittensor wallet to copy your address. If you’re new, see Quickstart and Using TAO.BOT. Can I change or cancel a Bittensor withdrawal after submitting? Submissions are final once queued. If there’s an error, contact support immediately with your request ID. What happens if I do nothing? We’ll convert your remaining balance to TAO and airdrop LST at launch. Post-launch you’ll no longer see legacy ETH-side balances—only the LST received. Is custody changing before LST? Until you withdraw or your balance is converted, funds remain in TAO.BOT’s custodial system as before.
